Dana and Alex - April 2021

This was such a fun wedding to capture and so beautiful too! Dana and Alex were married in 2021 after postponing from 2020 due to the restrictions that year. I loved the bridesmaids gowns, each in a different colour that blended beautifully with each other and the surrounds of the venue.

Dana and Alex chose a midday wedding down at Cullen Bay, at Lola’s Pergolas. Whilst the ceremony location was quite tight and the bright sun in strong contrast to the dark tones of the undercover deck where they got married, it still proved to be beautiful in the images.

The highlight of the day, and one that was talked about many times since, was when, to everyone’s horror the son, and then the daughter, of the bride and groom, dropped the wedding rings - by sheer good luck the rings narrowly missed slipping through the decking (the sea was below!). Dana and Alex took it all in their stride, laughing at the near loss of the rings, and their photos tell the tale of that moment beautifully.

Once the ceremony was done and dusted, we had time for some fun bridal party images on the stairs, followed by some easygoing family images on the merry go round and against Lola’s eclectic decor.

The bride and groom then mingled with guests for a little while before heading out around the Bay for some lovely couple images - the sky was a beautiful blue with scattered clouds and made for striking images against the wooden decking.
